How to arrange an appointment

All of the clinical staff (with the exception of the health visitors’ Baby Clinic, and the Family Planning Drop-in Clinic) operate an appointment system.

Appointments can be booked here, by coming to the surgery, or telephoning the surgery on 0118 959 0257. Online appointments are currently only available for patients aged 16 and over.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible on our online cancellation form, by visiting the surgery or calling 0118 959 0257. We waste about 360 appointments every month as a result of patients simply not turning up. These could have been made available to other patients who needed them.

If more than one member of your household needs to be seen, make sure each has a separate appointment.

Additional Appointments

Western Elms, Circuit Lane and Tilehurst Potteries practices work together as a cluster to offer our patients additional appointments in evenings and weekends:

Monday and Tuesday evenings are at Western Elms Surgery, Wednesday is at Tilehurst and Thursday is at Circuit Lane.

Friday evenings and Sundays are currently covered by the South Reading Hub. Saturdays are worked on a rotation and you will be advised where your appointment is on booking.
